We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join our service at Rainbow Court, Peterborough, supporting approximately 20 individuals with a range of needs to live independently and confidently within their community.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is compassionate, proactive, and able to use their initiative, with a passion for delivering high-quality, person centred care.

Pay & Vacancies

  • £13.53
  • 20 hours per week

Shift Pattern

  • Shifts vary but operate between 07:00 – 22:00. Your availability to work flexibly across these times is essential.
  • Alternate weekends

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will deliver person centred support to individuals, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.

  • Supporting with personal care, including washing, dressing, and hygiene
  • Assisting with daily living tasks such as meal preparation and household activities
  • Promoting independence and choice in everyday life
  • Supporting individuals to access the community, attend appointments, and maintain relationships
  • Providing emotional and practical support
  • Communicating effectively with families, professionals, and the wider team
  • Following care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Are:

  • Compassionate, patient, and person centred in their approach
  • Able to take responsibility and use initiative in day to day situations
  • Strong team players with good communication skills
  • Confident in sharing important information and keeping accurate records
  • Able to think independently and use sound judgement
  • Proactive, reliable, and professional
  • Comfortable working flexibly to meet the needs of the service

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in a health and social care setting
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding and risk management
  • Good IT skills and ability to complete records

Qualifications (or willingness to work towards):

  • QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care
  • CPI/MAPA trained
  • PEG trained

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (business insurance required)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
