Support Officer (Telecare) - Grade 4 - £ 31161, to 33987 pa 36 hours per week permanent position (office based)

We are seeking someone with great attention to detail, and a common sense approach to their work. You will provide effective and responsive administrative support for allocated operational activity in a robust, timely, efficient and cost effective manner. We expect you to take ownership of the role, and we will listen to any feedback or suggestions in regards to developing the effectiveness of the Supporting Officers position.

Havering Telecare Centre are responsible for providing life-saving devices and assistive technology to elderly and vulnerable residents in the borough. We provide an installation and response service, responding to falls and other medical emergencies.

We work closely with Adult Social Services, the NHS and other partner organisations, handling referrals, ensuring safe hospital discharges, and enabling individuals to live independently despite health conditions and other challenging life circumstances.

The service also manages the delivery of Havering Council’s Building Alarm Monitoring Team, and our Out of Hours service.

The position holder must have experience in an admin or support officer role, demonstrate a high level of competence when using Microsoft office applications {particularly word, excel, and outlook} and communicate effectively and professionally via the phone and through emails.
