What You’ll Be Doing

As Apprenticeship Manager, you'll provide operational leadership for our Building Services Engineering apprenticeship provision, leading a team of Trainer Coaches and Apprenticeship Lecturers to deliver exceptional learner, employer and quality outcomes. Working closely with the Head of Apprenticeships, you'll drive curriculum innovation, quality improvement and employer engagement while ensuring programmes remain aligned to industry and apprenticeship reforms. Please note, this position is fixed-term for the period of twelve months.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the operational management of Building Services Engineering apprenticeship programmes, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
• Manage, develop and inspire Trainer Coaches and Apprenticeship Lecturers through effective leadership, coaching, appraisals and performance management.
• Oversee curriculum planning, apprenticeship standards implementation and End Point Assessment (EPA) readiness.
• Monitor learner progress, retention, achievement and employer satisfaction, implementing interventions where required to improve outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, awarding organisations and external stakeholders.
• Lead Internal Quality Assurance (IQA), support External Quality Assurance (EQA) activity and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Manage curriculum resources, staffing, timetabling and operational planning to ensure efficient delivery.
• Contribute to curriculum development, cross-college initiatives and the continued growth of apprenticeship provision.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for an experienced apprenticeship leader with a passion for quality, people development and employer engagement.

You will ideally have:

• A recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent).
• Assessor and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualifications.
• A Level 3 qualification in a relevant Building Services Engineering discipline.
• Experience leading apprenticeship teams and developing high-performing staff.
• Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards, End Point Assessment (EPA) and quality assurance processes.
• Experience working with awarding organisations, self-assessment and quality improvement planning.
• Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use performance data to drive continuous improvement.
