Cambridge Regional College is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Pastoral Support Advisor – ESOL to join our Student Services team. This rewarding role focuses on supporting ESOL learners, including refugees, asylum seekers and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), helping them successfully engage in education, build confidence and navigate life in the UK. In addition, you will support the Pastoral Support Advisors when you are not directly working with the ESOL students.
You will join us on a full time (37 hours), term time only basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £27,032 - £28,813 per annum, equivalent to a full year salary of £31,110 - £33,160 per annum, plus staff benefits.
About the role:
You would be supporting ESOL learners 4 days a week and EHCP & High Needs students 1 day a week, empowering them so that they can fully access the curriculum and successfully achieve their programme of study. Many of the students you will work with will have complex needs.
